![]() in FL Studio theres this popping sound that I cant figure out how to get rid of. When AMT is between 0 and 1, the result is a mixture between AMT = 0 and AMT = 1. The NES VST is designed to emulate the 8-bit sounds of the Nintendo. With REL > 0, the sound takes longer to turn off. With REL = 0, the sound stops instantly when the note is released. will take some time to go from the sustain level to 0 once the note is released (release or REL). will remain at the sustain level until the note is released (sustain or SUST), will take some time to decline to the sustain level (decay or DEC), will remain for some time at its maximum level (hold or HOLD), will take some time to go from 0 to its maximum level (attack or ATT), will remain a certain time at 0 (delay or DEL), ![]() When the envelope is active (amount or AMT = 1) and a note is played, the amplitude of the sound: Once the note is released, the amplitude returns to 0 instantly. When the envelope is inactive (amount or AMT = 0) and a note is played, the amplitude reaches its maximum instantly, and will remain at that level until the note is released. The volume envelope is used to define how the amplitude of the sound of an instrument behaves when a note is played. I don't know if other people noticed some noise while playing live with the piano keys so for now, I suggest to let the issue opened after all.I setted the release and the amt, which I am not sure what, but it helped. ![]() I will go further into LMMS as it seems to be a really powerful software. This one seems erratic and is not caused by LMMS (I had it with different softwares). The awful crackling that I experienced before didn't show up again in Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS (it came up in debian buster yesterday). However, I tried several sound tests on a project through automation or simply by playing A LOT of notes simultaneously, and the sound was ok. If I want to completely get rid of the crackling noise while playing with the piano keys, I have to completely destroy the sound, like this: That's interesting, for this problem in particular, I only have it when I play live with the piano, but not if I create a project. I wonder if you should drop ALSA and use SDL.Ĭreate a project with notes just like those you have here, and confirm that you have ALSA-crackling, then change back-end to SDL and play the same project -Witch backend has the cleanest output? Actual behaviorĬrackling and clicking noises. Normal sound without crackling and clicking noises. Open LMMS and play any note, wait a bit and keep playing to hear if the bug evolves. The sound configuration in LMMS is set on ALSA (default). I tried with different speakers and different softwares, the problem concerns uniquely LMMS and my audio set works perfectly as far as I know. It is more obvious on some instruments than others but it seems to concern everyone of them. After a few minutes it gets better but it keeps producing a clicking sound at the beginning of each sampled note (first I thought it was clipping but modify the volume or the form of the wave or whatever doesn't change anything). When I open LMMS, I can't play any sound without having a monstruous crackling noise. I know this issue seems quite known in Linux world but I can't find exactly the same description as my own problem.
